University of Rawalpindi organized a Tax Compliance Awareness Workshop on 24th September 2025 as part of its ongoing initiative to enhance financial literacy and promote informed tax compliance among university employees.
Led by experienced tax professionals, the session aimed to strengthen understanding of Pakistan’s taxation framework, highlight the benefits of becoming a tax filer, and address common misconceptions that discourage voluntary compliance.
Participants learned about key topics such as the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, filing thresholds, reduced withholding rates, and long-term professional credibility associated with accurate compliance. Real-life case studies illustrated how tax filing can lead to savings, legal protection, and greater access to financial services.
This interactive format encouraged open discussion, allowing attendees to share concerns, seek clarity, and receive expert guidance tailored to their professional contexts. The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment to fostering financial responsibility within university community.
Tax Compliance Awareness Workshop reflects UOR’s broader mission to prepare its members not only as academically capable individuals but also as financially informed citizens contributing to Pakistan’s sustainable economic growth.
