UOR Celebrates World Book Day 2026 to Promote Reading Culture
University of Rawalpindi (UOR) celebrated World Book Day on 23 April 2026 at the library with great enthusiasm, aiming to promote the importance of reading and lifelong learning among students. The event encouraged students to develop strong reading habits and explore diverse areas of knowledge through books.
Faculty members delivered motivational talks highlighting the role of reading in personal growth, academic success, and intellectual development. Students were also invited to recommend books of their interest for inclusion in the library collection, encouraging the continued growth of learning resources aligned with student preferences and academic needs.
A book exhibition was arranged as part of the celebration, featuring a wide range of books from various subjects and genres. Students actively explored the exhibition, engaged in discussions about different themes and ideas, and participated enthusiastically in the activities. The event created a vibrant learning environment and reinforced the value of books as a source of knowledge, creativity, and inspiration.
