The Department of Applied Business and Economics at University of Rawalpindi (UOR) organized an Environmental Awareness Display on 22 January 2026 in the university’s open area. The activity was led by BBA 3rd Semester students with the aim of promoting environmental consciousness, responsible behavior, and sustainable practices across the campus.
The display featured multiple student-led initiatives, including green literacy posters, recycled art exhibitions, a clean-and-care drive, vessel-refill mapping, and a “bring-your-own” campaign to reduce single-use waste. A Green Pledge Wall encouraged students to commit to achievable eco-friendly habits, while the formation of a Student Green Taskforce highlighted continued student engagement beyond the event.
The initiative aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Quality Education (SDG 4), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), and Climate Action (SDG 13). The event reflected UOR’s commitment to experiential learning and fostering a sustainability-driven mindset among students.
