University of Rawalpindi (UOR) proudly participated in the International Student Convention & Expo 2026, held from 3 to 6 May 2026, a large-scale academic and cultural event that brought together students, universities, innovators, and organizations from across the country and beyond. Conducted across multiple venues, the convention provided students with valuable opportunities for educational exposure, networking, collaboration, and academic engagement.
UOR was represented at the inaugural ceremony by Muhammad Abubakar, Rector of University of Rawalpindi, alongside the Higher Education Commission Pakistan (HEC) Chairman, Vice Chancellors, academic leaders, organizers, and representatives of participating institutions. The university’s presence at this high-level academic gathering reflected its growing engagement with national educational initiatives and collaborative platforms.
As part of the convention activities, UOR students actively participated in sessions and competitions held at Quaid-i-Azam University and PAF-IAST Haripur. The university also established an interactive stall at FAST National University, where students showcased creativity, teamwork, and institutional spirit through engaging activities and presentations. The stall attracted strong visitor engagement and became one of the notable highlights of the expo.
Adding to the university’s achievements, Areeba Atif from Digital Design and Computer Arts (DDCA) secured 3rd position in the Essay Writing Competition among participants from nearly 50 universities, including international students. In recognition of its active participation and successful stall management, UOR was also awarded a souvenir shield, further reflecting the university’s strong presence and positive impact throughout the convention.
The event reinforced UOR’s commitment to student empowerment, academic excellence, innovation, and meaningful participation on national and international platforms.
