On December 6th, students of University of Rawalpindi undertook an educational visit to the Pakistan Army Museum, Rawalpindi, as part of an academic activity aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of Pakistan’s defense history and national security.
During the visit, students explored multiple galleries displaying weapons, military uniforms, war maps, photographs, medals, and models representing key historical events, including the 1948, 1965, and 1971 wars, the Kargil conflict, and counter-terrorism operations. The museum also highlights the sacrifices of martyrs (Shuhada), the leadership of military commanders, and the Pakistan Army’s role in United Nations peacekeeping missions and disaster relief efforts.
The visit enabled students to link theoretical concepts studied in Pakistan Studies with tangible historical evidence, deepening their understanding of national defense, patriotism, and the evolution of Pakistan’s military institutions.
The initiative reflects UOR’s commitment to experiential learning by complementing classroom instruction with meaningful educational exposure.
