University of Rawalpindi (UOR) participated in an orientation and briefing session on the “Each One Teach One (EOTO)” literacy program at the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) Literacy Resource Centre, Islamabad, on 4 June 2026. Representing UOR, Dr. Saniya Moazzam attended the session to explore opportunities for collaboration in literacy promotion, community engagement, and volunteer-led educational initiatives.

The session was hosted by Mr. Syed Akbar (Director) and Dr. Tahir Zubair (Deputy Director), who provided an overview of NCHD’s literacy programs, implementation framework, curriculum, and community outreach strategies. Discussions highlighted the role of educated individuals and student volunteers in promoting literacy and supporting underserved communities.

The visit also explored opportunities for future collaboration between UOR and NCHD, including student volunteer engagement, awareness activities, and initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The engagement reflects UOR’s commitment to community development, social responsibility, and expanding meaningful learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
