University Of Rawalpindi Faculty Member Presents Research Poster at ICMAC 2026
University of Rawalpindi was represented at the 3rd International Conference on Media & Communication (ICMAC 2026), organized by Foundation University Islamabad.
The conference brought together researchers, academics and media professionals to discuss emerging developments in media and communication under the theme, “Media Dynamics in the Age of AI: Innovation, Trust, Creativity and Sustainability in the Digital World.”
Dr. Saniya Moazzam, faculty member of the Media and Communication Studies Department at University of Rawalpindi, presented a research poster titled “Digital Citizenship and Media Literacy Among Youth: Pathways for Responsible Online Engagement.” Her research focused on the role of digital citizenship and media literacy in helping young people engage responsibly with online spaces and make informed decisions about the information they encounter.
Through her poster presentation, Dr. Saniya shared the research with academics and professionals attending the conference and took part in discussions around responsible digital engagement, media literacy and the changing communication landscape.
UOR’s participation in ICMAC 2026 provided an opportunity to share faculty-led research and engage with wider academic discussions in the field of media and communication. The event also reflected the University’s continued involvement in research activities that address emerging issues affecting young people and the digital world.
