University of Rawalpindi Signs MoU with READ Foundation to Strengthen Education and Community Engagement
University of Rawalpindi (UOR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with READ Foundation to strengthen collaboration in education, youth development, research, volunteerism and community service.
The MoU was signed by Ms. Fatima Habib, Volunteer Relations Officer, READ Foundation, and Ms. Zoya Baig, Sustainability & Impact Officer, University of Rawalpindi, representing their respective institutions.
The partnership creates opportunities for UOR students to connect academic learning with practical experience through internships, volunteer programmes, community visits, school-based activities and social-impact projects. READ Foundation will facilitate relevant student and faculty engagement with its schools, communities and project sites, subject to operational feasibility and institutional policies.
The collaboration also includes scope for joint research and academic projects focused on education, community development and social welfare. Other areas of cooperation include career guidance, counselling, mentorship, youth leadership programmes, awareness campaigns and capacity-building workshops.
Through this partnership, University of Rawalpindi aims to strengthen students’ professional and leadership skills while encouraging meaningful participation in community development. The three-year MoU reflects UOR’s commitment to social responsibility, community engagement and partnerships that contribute to education and sustainable development.
