University of Rawalpindi (UOR) will launch the Mentoring Program for Universities (MPU) 2026 in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) through NAHE–HEC. The national initiative will aim to strengthen mentorship, leadership development, and professional growth across higher education institutions in Pakistan by promoting structured guidance and collaborative learning.

As part of the program rollout, UOR will organize an orientation session for mentors and mentees on 21 May 2026, where participants will be introduced to the program structure, mentoring modules, operational framework, and implementation process. Mentor–mentee agreements will also be signed during the session to ensure active participation, accountability, and commitment to the program’s objectives.

The program will focus on key areas such as leadership development, effective communication skills, inclusivity, critical thinking, and digital competencies through a series of structured mentoring modules. The Mentoring Program Committee (MPC), in collaboration with HEC–NAHE, will oversee the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the program from April to June 2026.

UOR will reaffirm its commitment to fostering a strong culture of mentorship, innovation, and academic excellence, aligned with national higher education priorities and the broader vision of capacity building within Pakistan’s academic landscape
